Eco Centers are large, fenced parks containing high-capacity containers designed to receive various materials. The Suldouro Selective Collection System integrates five ecocenters where the public can deposit large waste items or items that pose a danger to the environment, such as batteries, oils, and accumulators.
The Eco Centers are prepared to receive:
- Green waste (garden waste, pruning branches, etc.);
- Wood (wooden pallets, furniture, etc.);
- Bulky household waste (bulky items from homes such as mattresses, sofas, carpets, etc.);
- Electrical and electronic equipment (appliances, televisions, computers, telephones, printers, etc.);
- Used cooking oils;
- Scrap metal;
- Batteries and accumulators.

Sermonde and Gestal Recycling Centers: Monday to Saturday
From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Other Recycling Centers (Lobão, Souto and Vilar do Paraíso): Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW)
By legal requirement, construction and demolition waste (CDW) must be transported with e-GAR; therefore, Suldouro cannot receive CDW from private individuals without the existence of e-GAR. Once you have obtained the e-GAR, it is important to note that you can only deposit up to 1 m³/day of C&D waste from small DIY projects in your home at one of the Suldouro recycling centers if you reside in the municipalities of Santa Maria da Feira and Vila Nova de Gaia.
